It is a long-lived plant that holds many times more than its support. The woody stem climbs up to 20m, so it is very useful to cover wall and elements that we want to hide from view or to make a fresh green wall.
It is a plant that adapts very well to any type of soil and climate although it prefers an environment with humidity to a dry environment. We must place it in shady areas since excessive sunlight can harm it. In fact, it is a plant that we can have both, outside and inside.
Ivy does not require many waterings, during the winter we can water it once a week and during hot months we will increase the periodicity and we will do it between two and three times, trying not to flood. Add with liquid fertilizer irrigation.
