It is advisable to spray the plant frequently, both in summer and winter. Calabashes do not like excess water, so be careful with watering and reduce the amount in winter.
Try to shoot the branches every year in spring so that the plant becomes denser and regularly nourishes it with solid or liquid fertilizer.
It is easily multiplied by cuttings. Take stem cuttings that carry a yolk and a portion of aerial root at any time of the year. The rooting is very easy, both in substrate and introduced in a glass with water, being able to obtain a plant in a few weeks.
